Wheres My Soulmate

So many relationships end because of the search for perfection. People are after ‘happily ever after’ lives. But this is very often unachievable, as people are setting a goal that is impossible to reach.

A ‘perfect’ relationship is one where both individuals work together to achieve a harmonious life. It is a merger of two people for one life goal. There are many people who want their life to be like a movie, or the romance novel they just finished reading, or like a soap opera. But life is something we have to work at. Relationships are something that needs to be worked on, to succeed.

But with that said, if it is simply not working out, no matter how much effort you are putting into it, then there is no point in pursuing it. It may just be the wrong pairing for you to engage in. But ultimately, continuing with a damaging relationship, will only hurt you and any future relationship you may get involved in.

I believe you get out of life, what you put into it. If you want to have a healthy relationship, you need to give it a healthy base to build on. Relationships that are based purely on a physical attraction, a monetary value or a void you filled instead of resolving, simply will not last.

These relationships will end eventually, and end badly. This can damage both parties emotionally and physically, and leave scars that cannot be healed. Ending a bad relationship in time is hard, but no one can afford to stick with it. Each relationship has a meaning, and a purpose. It is a good sign when we take away lessons from old relationships. Good or bad, everything has a way of teaching us something new.
